What's true for The Downtown Church is true for nearly every other church in the world: we could not make Sundays happen without dedicated and caring volunteers.
They supplement the staff, they do the dirty work, and they provide the smiles and warmth that leaving lasting impressions on everyone. We are so blessed to have some truly amazing and dedicated volunteers here, and we got the chance to really celebrate one of those people last Sunday. Ronn Crandall is an institution here at The Downtown Church, and now that he's hit one of those big-round-number birthdays, he's decided to take a small step back. I'm sure you will still see him serving quite often, but he may just be sitting in the pews more. Although, it'll be tough to keep him seated instead of clapping, swaying, and singing.
If you missed worship this last Sunday, I'd encourage you to check out the recording during the Children's Moment (YouTube or Facebook) and see the fun we had celebrating Ronn. It's worth your five minutes, I promise!
So, from the bottom of my heart, and many others' too, thank you Ronn Crandall! You've meant so much to more people than you know. We are blessed by you, and all of our volunteers at The Downtown Church.
See you Sunday, Brian
